Communications Assistant traineeship, London Living Wage

We are working with Creative Access to recruit a Communications Assistant - applications for the role should be made through the Creative Access website.

This opportunity is only open to individuals from a group that is under-represented in the creative industries. This includes, but is not limited to Black, Asian and ethnically diverse candidates, disabled people, those undergoing gender reassignment / transitioning and individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

The successful candidate for this opportunity will also participate in a Creative Access support programme that sits alongside workplace training. This includes a programme of induction training, monthly masterclasses, wellbeing support, buddying / mentoring and more.

Mobius is a boutique communications agency that specialises in live performance. Offering PR, marketing, print, design, print distribution, media buying and digital services to a wide range of clients across the arts, they work with some of the most innovative and exciting venues and companies including Bridge Command, Park Theatre, Jermyn St Theatre, VAULT Festival, Apples & Snakes Improbable, Bernie Grant Arts Centre, Ad Infinitum and OperaUpClose.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who loves theatre to join our team as a communications assistant. This is an entry-level role suited to an individual who is looking to gain experience and insight into arts communications with the opportunity to work with some of the best companies in the arts.

With a small and dedicated team, we are looking for a keen individual to support client managers with administrative assistance.

  • Supporting the wider team with client work

What we're looking for

  • A keen interest in the arts, theatre and media
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle a range of projects
  • Ability to use own initiative and also work as part of a team
  • Highly accurate and well-organised with good time management skills
  • IT literate (particularly Office 365, Word and Excel)
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of social media channels
  • A desire to develop a career in the arts
