Mobius' Q1 2026 Highlights

26.03.26

We're already three months into 2026? Well time really does fly when you're having fun!

Before the clocks spring forward and we dive head first in to April, we thought we would take a moment to reflect on a few of our favourite cultural moments from the first quarter (both professional and personal) and share what we're looking forward to in the months ahead.

I’m really enjoying working with National Youth Theatre again this year on their recently finished Dracula and their upcoming Let The Right One In (yep the Jack Thorne one, it’s going to be brilliant). Running some interesting horror themed campaigns has been really fun to reach wider film audiences too, but in general supporting the work of some genuinely phenomenal actors who are on the cusp of being the next big thing (an overused phrase but in this instance, a definite truth) is feels really exciting to work on. As long as you don’t mind a lot of fake blood.

I know I’m late to the party but I finally saw Prima Facie! The tour came to York Grand Theatre starring Jodi Comer and oh my word, speechlessly brilliant. It was one of those shows where everyone jumped to their feet to applaud as soon as it ended - half because of the performance and half because we all needed to release what they’d just built up!

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter (Apr-Jun)

We’re working on Why I Stuck a Flare Up My Arse for England - an incredible show, coming back for one night only at the Garrick right in the middle of the Men’s World Cup. It’s just going to be good and exciting isn’t it?

Professional Highlight

I’ve loved promoting political drag musical Trompe l’Oeil at the Contact Theatre in Manchester — starring Veronica Green! It’s great to reconnect with the city where I did my undergrad, and we’ve had some incredibly impactful, rather risque sticker designs that somehow manage to combine wordplay, covert political messaging and penis imagery. A veritable treat!

Own Cultural Highlight

I took a week off to do a stand-up comedy course at the Angel Comedy Club in Islington and may have got the bug! Met some incredibly funny, whacky people, and can tick that off my bucket list. Lolz galore.

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter (Apr-Jun)

We’re doing some promo for Dale Wasserman’s adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the Old Vic. I’ve loved this story ever since watching the film and reading the book at 14, and am so excited to see what they do with it!

We’ve been working with Welsh inclusive company Hijinx on their 10th anniversary tour of Meet Fred. Fred is a puppet whose life starts to spiral when his Puppetry Living Allowance is cut. The show debuted at the Fringe in 2016 and since then has toured to over 20 countries including South Korea and China. It’s always a joy to work on anything Welsh and this is surely one of Wales’s most successful shows of recent times.

Own Cultural Highlight

The Wedding People by Alison Espach was my book club’s read for February and it’s probably going to be one of my favourite books of the year. It follows an English professor Phoebe Stone who arrives at a fancy hotel in Rhode Island intending to kill herself. But when she bumps into bride to be Lila in the lift who is terrified a suicide will ruin her perfect day, she unexpectedly becomes a key part of the wedding party and discovers reasons to cherish life again. It’s an easy read with well rounded characters and dark humour and it even made us cry in the more moving movements. I read that the film rights have already been snapped up and I hope they do it justice.

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter (Apr-Jun)

I managed to bag tickets to Jinx Monsoon as Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow at Soho Theatre Walthamstow in May. I’ve never been to the venue and I’m excited to see Jinx in the flesh!

Juliet

Professional Highlight

I loved working on the influencer campaign for Our American Queen by the american vicarious, particularly as we had some brilliant coverage from Scott Webber. It’s always a treat to bring theatre to new audiences and collaborate with people who are passionate about the content of the shows, and getting to learn more about their specialist subject!

Cultural Highlight

I was lucky enough to see Gisèle Pelicot speak at the Southbank Centre last month to promote her memoir A Hymn To Life. Chaired by journalist, writer and broadcaster Samira Ahmed, they discussed Giselle’s call for shame to change sides in cases of sexual abuse - it was an incredibly moving and powerful evening. In general it was just an amazing experience to be in a room with so many other women who care deeply about the cause and I highly recommend you give her memoir a read!

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

I’m looking forward to continuing my work in our influencer department with the show Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Arse For England. I’ve been keen to work on a football show for a long time and I’m excited to merge two of my passions in this campaign! COYB.

After many years working alongside the lovely team at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, we were delighted at the beginning of this year to sign on full time with the theatre supporting all of their work for 2026. QTH have some very exciting shows coming up including Caroline: A New Musicala musical about the original pirate radio ship, Radio Caroline, which inspired the film The Boat That Rocked

Own Cultural Highlight

In February, I went to Paris and visited Victor Hugo’s house to learn all about his life and inspiration for two of my favourite French classics, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame and Les Miserables. Unsurprisingly, he had an affinity for death and several sketches of guillotines in his office. Another favourite from this month is the release of the Project Hail Mary film adaptation. For fans of the book it does not disappoint and has proven once and for all that Ryan Gosling can have chemistry with anything… including a rock.

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

I’m very excited to be working with Thomas Guthrie and Rhik Samadder alongside the Lewisham Creative Chorus on Dancing In The Mirror at The Fellowship Inn. This show has everything I love, site-specific, love music, immersive, community driven, and with some fascinating history and sports links.

I had the pleasure of heading to Adelaide Fringe this quarter as a Honey Pot delegate where I also ran the PR campaigns for Dutch KillsBroken Box Mime’s Double Take and Hannah Maxwell’s BABYFLEAREINDEERBAG and My Gay Lady (I, AmDram). It was fantastic to connect with industry, artists and journalists across the pond, giving advice for those wanting to take part in Edinburgh Fringe and tour shows in the UK. We also managed to secure some incredible pieces of PR coverage in outlets including The AdvertiserInDailyThe List (Aussie Edition) and Glam Adelaide. Hopefully the first of many Adelaide Fringes!

Own Cultural Highlight

I was also in New York in early February running the PR campaign for Recent Cutbacks’ Hold On To Your Butts and I had the privilege of seeing Operation Mincemeat on Broadway with the original West End cast. I can’t believe I hadn’t seen it before - it’s now a favourite!!

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter (Apr-Jun)

I am really looking forward to kickstart our Edinburgh Fringe campaigns - we’ll be writing some insanely interesting press releases over the next month and I always look forward to our pre-Fringe pitch trip to Edinburgh where we meet with a variety of Scotland-based journalists and venue heads.

Combining humour, horror and history in a biting piece of theatre - sounds like my dream! I absolutely loved working on Bag of Beard’s Cockpit run of The Highgate Vampire. Getting to lead on their PR campaign and secure coverage from theatre, lifestyle and horror publications was an incredible way to start the year.

Own Cultural Highlight

I’m a massive fan of unique concert experiences, unconventional venues and intimate gigs that allow you to really appreciate the music, and I recently got to see one of my favourite musicians Andrew Bird play at The Barbican to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his album The Mysterious Production of Eggs. Not only was it a treat to see him perform (especially with his iconic violin style) but also I got to witness the full scale of his music as it was brought to life by the incredible Britten Sinfonia Orchestra.

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

I’m really looking forward to witnessing the return of My Uncle Is Not Pablo Escobar at Brixton House. Getting to do influencer campaigns on this kind of project is so wonderful because you witness the impact of connecting with the relevant communities and I cannot wait to celebrate such important and vibrant work.

Emma

Professional Highlight

I loved working with Neon Dance on Last and First Men, combining my sci-fi nerdiness with a really intriguing dance concept. It was my first visit to the Coronet Theatre, it’s a really great venue and hope to work with them again soon!

Own Cultural Highlight

I started the year with a trip to see Indian Ink at Hampstead Theatre, the production was really slick and thought provoking. I’ve not been to a main stage show there for quite a while, the seats are very comfy which is always a bonus! I’m booked in again for April to see Copenhagen, very excited to see Richard Schiff on stage.

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

It’s got to be A Festival of Korean Dance, we’ve worked with them every year and I love their style of precision and sense of humour

MILES at Southwark Playhouse  brilliant team, a brilliant show - and a total sell-out. I have a longstanding obsession with the music, and it was important to me that this one worked well - we got great results for both the PR and marketing work, but just as importantly it really landed with audiences.

Own Cultural Highlight

I hugely enjoyed Fish Bowl as part of Mime London at the Peacock (although possibly not quite as much as my child - a reaction of total hilarity) - I miss working on the full editions of the London International Mime Festival, but happily Januarys aren’t totally lacking in this sort of excellent work.

One thing you’re looking forward to in the next quarter (Apr-Jun)

I’m really looking forward to continue the campaign Noda Map’s next show at Sadler’s Wells, -320F. The company bring extraordinary work to the UK every couple of years, and it’s a delight to see a longer run this time round.
