Unwrapping Mobius' 2024 Highlights

19.12.24

As 2024 comes to a close and we prepare to leap into the adventures of 2025, the team at Mobius took some time to reflect on the incredible year we have had.

In the ever-changing landscape of Arts Marketing and PR we can often get so busy we forget to appreciate the wins so we would love to encourage you to think about and share your own successes.

Each Mobius team member has shared a workplace success from 2024, whether it be an exciting piece of coverage, a return client or a sell-out show, we’re proud of them all!

Lorn (Senior PR Account Executive)

My 2024 highlight is all about the sports shows. From the UK Tour of The Giant Killers to the fantastic Going For Gold at Park Theatre, true untold stories of underappreciated sportspeople from history has certainly been a theme, and securing print features in the sports section of The Times for both shows this year has been a real winner!

Emma (Head of Press)

A highlight of 2024 for me has been the getting out and about to talk to aspiring arts industry folk about what PR is, how it works and how they can make it work for them. As well as speaking to students at Mountview and Goldsmiths, it gave me the chance to go to Hull when I spoke to participants of Middle Child’s Fresh Ink.

Annabelle (Junior PR Account Manager)

Edinburgh Fringe this year was just an absolute treat, I was working with some incredible clients like ATG on their new KC and the Sunshine Band musical Who Do Ya Love, the delightful Recent Cutbacks on their Jurassic Park spoof Hold On To Your Butts and the unstoppable New York duo Xhloe and Natasha on A Letter To Lyndon B. Johnson Or God: Whoever Reads This First which won a third-consecutive Scotsman Fringe First for the pair. Not to mention the fantastic artists, journalists and PRs that graced the Fringe bars each night that I had the pleasure of mingling with. Bring on the next!

Juliet (Marketing Account Executive)

My highlight of 2024 was revamping the Mobius social media and working with our socials team to hit new targets. We made the seamless shift from X to Bluesky without missing a single post and already growing to 25% of our old following in a matter of weeks. We’ve also increased our Instagram reach by approximately 400% and over 500 followers, built our LinkedIn to over 1000 followers and started our Mobius TikTok page!

Elaine (Senior PR Account Manager)

One of my favourite 2024 projects was working with LUNG again on their musical The Children’s Inquiry which opened at Southwark Playhouse in July. The show was about the childcare system in the UK and the lyrics were taken from a range people who had experience of the system. I’m a big believer that the arts can make a difference and all of us who watch a show can be entertained but also learn and LUNG’s work certainly ticks these boxes. I’m excited to see what they do next

George (Distribution Manager)

I loved some of the more 'outside the box' campaigns using print in creative ways: flyering on roller skates for Starlight Express, sending out space-age beermats for Bridge Command, distributing handheld fans for Tina the Musical and The Wizard of Oz. Then there are our many brilliant off-West End clients, many of whose shows I was able to catch. Gigi and Dar at the Arcola was a particular highlight!

Eve (Communications Assistant)

It is no secret within Mobius that I love learning and therefore my highlight for 2024 has to be not only joining the team but also everything I have been able to learn since. This year I’ve loved learning how to run a PR campaign and even got to run my first one for Selecting a Ghost by Two Line Productions and BirdGang Ltd at Stanley Arts Centre. As Communications Assistant I work across all departments and so I’ve also been able to learn masses about marketing, with a particular highlight being running the socials campaign for At Last Musical Productions' Riddles & Romance and learning how it can be used to help build up a following for a show.

Richard (Managing Director)

I loved the work we did on Kalabante Productions’ Afrique en Cirque at Southbank Centre – we did some great grassroots work, got some fantastic coverage in the national and tapped into music, circus and family audiences. It was great to see a sold out run and really diverse audiences - and an absolutely outstanding show into the bargain!

Beatrice (Marketing Account Manager)

2024 has been a year of huge personal changes for me - I relocated back to the UK after five years of living abroad and working remotely. It therefore seems apt that my year has been bookended with running campaigns for two of the most quintessentially British shows… pantomimes! I’ve always had a soft spot for children’s theatre and it was an absolute pleasure to work with the wonderful Starcatcher Productions on their Easter pantomime The Wizard Of Oz. Fast forward through some more fabulous clients and the year is ending with working on another festive classic in the form of Berkhamsted’s first professional pantomime Cinderella. Here's to a 2025 full of even more joy, laughs and silly fun!

Anne (Senior Marketing & Digital Account Manager)

My 2024 highlight has been all about returning clients! Garry Starr coming back to us for marketing on his Edinburgh run of Classic Penguins and then at Underbelly after his Edinburgh success. Also running marketing again for the OperaUpClose team on their new tour of Riders to the Sea - really nice to work on such a refreshing new approach to accessible opera with this team again after their Flying Dutchman tour in 2023.
