Richard Fitzmaurice

Managing Director · he/him

Richard leads Mobius's strategic direction and oversees the agency's most complex campaigns — the ones that need to find a significant commercial audience for work that doesn't fit a simple category, or that have to navigate a particularly intricate stakeholder landscape.

His specialisms are festivals, long-term venue partnerships, international productions, and the specific challenge of building mainstream audiences for niche work. That last one is where a lot of the most interesting campaigns live — the show with a devoted following that needs to grow beyond it, the internationally acclaimed company making its London debut, the production whose subject matter is a harder sell than its quality deserves.

Recent campaigns he has led include Wilko: Love and Death and Rock'n'Roll, which found a hard-to-reach working-class music audience through community-first campaign strategy and creative stunts including naming a train after a punk rock legend, A Night at the Kabuki for Noda Map at Sadler's Wells — a Japanese-language production that sold out completely and reached a combined press audience of over 821 million — and The Forsyte Saga for Troupe Productions at Park Theatre, which sold significantly above target and has since transferred to the RSC.

Richard is always happy to talk through a project at any stage — whether you’re planning a campaign or just trying to work out what you need. Get in touch at team@mobiusindustries.com or connect on LinkedIn.
