Mobius' Q2 2026 Highlights

29.06.26

You know we're now closer to next Christmas than last Christmas now don't you? You're welcome.

To wrap up on Q2 the Mobius team look back at some of their highlights as well as what they're most looking forward to over the next few months.

Annabelle

Professional Highlight

It was an absolute delight working with Theatre-Rites on their 30th anniversary and world premiere of Return to the Forest, in a co-production with Factory International and co-commissioned with Sadler’s Wells. It was one of the most magical and captivating shows for families I’ve ever seen and the production images were probably my favourite of any show I’ve worked on! A gorgeous blend of puppetry, dance, culture and creativity.

Own Cultural Highlight

Now look, I know I’m about a decade late to the party… but I finally saw Hamilton on the West End which was just outstanding! The pure talent from the cast and powerhouse anthems were unbeatable. What a night out! I just want to play King George III and throw a tantrum, is that too much to ask!?

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

Fringe, Fringe, Fringe! One of my top highlights of the year will always be working as part of Mobius’ core team for Edinburgh Fringe and I am beyond excited by our roster this year. We’re working with some of the most talented artists in the business on some truly remarkable shows… so keep an eye out!

George

Professional Highlight

Coordinating distribution of 800 apples for Arcadia at West End Live — a logistical challenge for a creative campaign and incredibly well received by the hot MT fans!

Own Cultural Highlight

It was a dream come true to present a first run of my Greek myth-inspired musical Tartarus as part of Bokfest at the Hope Theatre. We built the most incredible team and somehow pulled off an amazing show in only two weeks despite opening in Europe’s hottest ever June heatwave!

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

The M.C. Escher exhibition at Somerset House is very exciting — I went absolutely nuts for Backrooms and it feels like it’s a huge influence. Why is getting lost in paradoxical worlds so fun?

Anne

Professional Highlight

I’ve loved continuing our work with NYT - now looking forward to their big 70th anniversary event at the Southbank Centre in September - Letters to my Younger/Future Self - a night of incredibly talented people (both established and emerging). It’s really rewarding to be working on a full programme for a client, taking our learnings on from each show to the next to build bigger and stronger campaigns each time.

Own Cultural Highlight

The Old Vic’s One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest back in April was just incredible - the energy of the cast and the intensity of the performance (I was sat up in the gods, I honestly don’t know how the people on the front row managed!) was was some of the absolute best.

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

We all know it’s coming but Edinburgh Festival Fringe! We’re building up our marketing offering at the festival more this year and we’ve already got some really strong performances rostered in so I’m really looking forward to working more closely on it this year.

Elaine

Professional Highlight

We’ve just wrapped up working on the ‘flarewell’ tour of Why I Stuck A Flare Up My A*se for England which played its final UK show at the Garrick in the West End last Sunday. It’s such an achievement for a Fringe show that started life as a monologue the writer and actor Alex Hill wrote fresh out of drama school to have secured that gig. It was such a joy to be there on the night and I hope we see more of this kind of programming.

Own Cultural Highlight

I finally managed to get to the Soho Theatre in Walthamstow and wowza, what a building! And a performance from Jinx Monsoon in End of the Rainbow to match. I think playing  someone like Judy Garland must be a difficult role because she’s so famous with a big personality and in the wrong hands, it could be pretty hammy but Jinx was masterful. The show’s closed now but I hope it comes back at some point!

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

One of my favourite comedians Kanan Gil is heading back to the UK with his new tour Not This Again. I didn’t really know much about him until I picked a Fringe show near where I was working when I had a spare hour in 2024 and it must have been destiny. I loved his dry, observational humour and I’ve been waiting for him to be back on these shores. He’s back at the Fringe this year and is also stopping in Leicester, London, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester. Go and buy a ticket, you won’t regret it!

Lorn

Professional Highlight

I really enjoyed working with Music and Theatre For All and the Lewisham Creative Chorus alongside Thomas Guthrie and Rhik Samadder on the PR campaign for Dancing In The Mirror. I love anything with a history and sport link, and this one was site-specific, full of music, immersive, and community driven. It was an incredibly special performance which really showed off the talent and community spirit of Bellingham!

Own Cultural Highlight

I saw John Proctor Is The Villain at the Royal Court and it may have stolen the top spot for my favourite play of all time! Set in a high school English Literature class in 2018 where a group of Joan Didion quoting girls are studying The Crucible, with Lorde music, and Taylor Swift, Twilight and Glee references - this was very much my perfect show. I am eagerly awaiting the film adaptation and West End transfer so I can see it again…

The next few months are very much the London festival season for me! I’m really looking forward to once again running PR campaigns for Camden FringeLambeth Fringe and Bloomsbury Festival

Richard

Professional Highlight

We worked on media buying and distribution for the new M.C. Escher exhibition at Somerset House - a quick turnaround, but lots of fun! Escalator advertising and infinite staircases are a match made in (a staircase to) heaven

Own Cultural Highlight

I loved the reading of Jonathan Maitland’s new piece, The Miracle of Sheffield - a Wednesday lunchtime in a pub near Oxford Circus filled with Sheffield Wednesday fans, and it felt like a bit of a happening

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

OK, not very far into the quarter, but I’m really looking forward to Noda Map’s Minus Three Twenty Degrees Fahrenheit at Sadler’s Wells, opening later in the week. An extraordinary company, and extraordinary work.

Emma

Professional Highlight

I always love a show at Brixton House, and working on My Uncle is Not Pablo Escobar was a really buzzy press night.

Own Cultural Highlight

Cheating and putting two, but I was delighted to be able to take my nephew to his very first theatre show at the age of 7 months. We worked on Take Flight by Rebel Sparks, so I was able to take him to the press performance at Half Moon and show him that Auntie Emma has all the best contacts! But then of course that meant I had to take my niece to something as well in the two weeks she was over from Singapore; sadly Toto the Ninja Cat at Little Angel Theatre was cancelled to stop it from becoming Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (and even Singaporeans can’t cope with the heat wave!) so I took her to see The Flying Bathtub instead, which felt much more in keeping with the temperature!

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

I’m off to the Midlands in a few weeks time to deliver a seminar for this year’s Optimists, China Plate’s fab training course for producers

Juliet

Professional Highlight

I really loved working on the influencer campaign for Why I Stuck A Flare Up My A*se For England. It was such a fun project and so exciting in the build-up to the World Cup, and wonderful to see such positive responses about the show from those who attended!

Own Cultural Highlight

I saw Avenue Q at Shaftesbury Theatre earlier this month – I’ve been making an effort to revisit more West End shows and I hadn’t seen this one for about 10 years! It was a really fun evening and I’m just a sucker for any show with puppets.

One thing you're looking forward to in the next quarter

Summer films! I’m particularly excited to watch Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and discuss it with people – whether it ends up being his best film yet or his, ahem, Achilles’ heel.
