Mobius is a London-based PR and marketing agency for comedy — stand-up, sketch, character comedy, clown and comedy theatre, in London, on tour and at the festivals. If you’ve got a show or a tour to fill, get in touch!
Comedy fans follow acts, venues and word of mouth as much as reviews — so a comedy campaign has to work harder on social, on the circuit and with the right press, not just the listings. We’ve built audiences for comedians and comedy shows including Garry Starr and FlawBored’s Olivier-nominated It’s A Motherf*cking Pleasure, and worked with acts and venues from Jerry Sadowitz, Adam Riches and Doug Stanhope to The Horne Section, Spymonkey, Le Gateau Chocolat, the Museum of Comedy and Mick Perrin Worldwide.
Between them our comedy clients have won both the Edinburgh Comedy Award (Adam Riches, Will Adamsdale and Laura Solon) and its Best Newcomer prize (Ciarán Dowd). We also work with Seiriol Davies, Josh Glanc, Recent Cutbacks and Sophie Power, and with comedy venues including Leicester Square Theatre and the Bloomsbury Theatre.
Comedy and the Edinburgh Fringe go hand in hand, and a big part of our comedy work is helping shows cut through in August and then carry that momentum into a tour or a London run. We do the same at other festivals and year-round at comedy venues.
Everything’s done by our own team: press campaigns, digital advertising, social content, design and print distributed by our own street teams. See more of who we’ve worked with on our past clients page.
No — we work with comedy year-round, in London, on tour and at festivals across the UK and internationally. Edinburgh is a big part of it, not all of it.
Yes. We work with acts, producers and venues. Tell us about your show and we’ll suggest an approach that fits the budget.
If Mobius sounds like the sort of comedy PR and marketing agency you’d like to work with, get in touch — or browse our case studies first.
It depends on the show, the length of the run and the mix of PR, advertising and print involved — we build a bespoke plan and budget around each production rather than a fixed package. Get in touch for a tailored quote.
As early as you can — ideally before tickets go on sale. For an Edinburgh run we’d usually begin in the spring to line up previews and press. We’re used to fast turnarounds too, but the earlier we start, the more we can build.
Through long-standing relationships with comedy critics, listings editors and broadcasters, and a sharp sense of the angle that lands a show in a crowded field. We’ve run campaigns for award-winning comedians across Edinburgh, London and tour — see our case studies.
We measure against real box office data wherever the venue’s ticketing allows — tracking the lift in ticket sales around each activity, from press hits to flyering to digital bursts. That means we can show what actually moved tickets, rather than reporting coverage and impressions in isolation.
