Mobius is a London-based PR and marketing agency for international arts — opera, theatre, dance and classical music that crosses borders. Whether you’re bringing a production to the UK, or taking a UK or visiting company out into the world, get in touch!
Our work travels. We’ve run campaigns for productions and artists across the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and Asia — often following our favourite clients as they perform in different cities around the world. Recent international projects include Death of a Salesman at Zorlu PSM in Istanbul, directed by Rufus Norris; Double Take at the Adelaide Fringe; New York company Xhloe and Natasha, who we’ve worked with in both Edinburgh and their home city; and our ongoing collaboration with SoHo Playhouse in New York.
When Noda Map brought A Night at the Kabuki — Hideki Noda’s reimagining of Shakespeare — from Japan to Sadler’s Wells, the run sold out:
“We were extremely privileged to work with Mobius for the sold out run of A Night at The Kabuki by Hideki Noda, at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in September 2022. They proved one of the most effective, modern and competent teams.”
Eiji Mihara, co-producer for Noda Map
We’ve built UK campaigns for international companies including the National Theatre Company of China and Guangzhou Dramatic Arts Centre, and we’re currently working with director Shuang Zou and the Beijing Music Festival on her contemporary staging of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, played by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
International work often means reaching audiences beyond the regular theatre crowd — diaspora communities, language-specific audiences, and people who’ve never heard of the venue. Our campaigns combine press and reviews, digital advertising targeted at the audiences who actually convert, social content that lets the work speak for itself, and grassroots outreach built in from day one. We’ve written about what international acclaim actually means for a marketing campaign.
Everything is done by our own team: press campaigns, digital advertising, social media, design, and print distributed by our own street teams. We work with venues, companies, producers and festivals — in London, on tour across the UK, at the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringes, and internationally. You can see more of the people we’ve worked with on our past clients page.
Yes. We’ve run campaigns for productions in a range of languages, from Japanese to Mandarin. The job is to find the audiences the work will resonate with and give them a reason to book.
Absolutely. A lot of our international work is press and audience-building for visiting companies playing London, the Edinburgh Fringe or a UK tour. Get in touch with the dates and venue and we’ll take it from there.
We follow our clients around the world and coordinate with local partners in each city — recent examples run from Istanbul to Adelaide to New York.
