Mobius: a musical theatre PR and marketing agency

Mobius is a London-based PR and marketing agency for musical theatre — from new musicals and jukebox shows to revivals and cabaret, in London and on tour. If you’ve got a musical to fill, get in touch!

Selling a musical takes more than a poster

Musicals live or die on word of mouth, social buzz and the right press — and on reaching audiences beyond the regular theatregoers. We built the campaigns for Who Do Ya Love?, the KC and the Sunshine Band musical, and its London counterpart Get Down Tonight, and have worked on music-led shows from Woody Sez to Rifco’s British Asian musicals.

New audiences, not just the mailing list

Our campaigns combine press and reviews, digital advertising targeted at the audiences who actually convert, social content that shows off the show, and print distributed by our own street teams. For a touring musical we build the campaign city by city.

PR, marketing and distribution — all in-house

Everything’s done by our own team. See more of who we’ve worked with on our past clients page, or read how we approach theatre marketing more broadly.

Musical theatre PR — frequently asked questions

Do you work on new musicals as well as established shows?

Yes — new work, jukebox musicals, revivals and cabaret. New musicals need extra work to build recognition, and that’s a big part of what we do.

Can you handle a musical on tour?

Yes. We build touring campaigns city by city, coordinating national press with local audience-building in each venue. Get in touch with your dates.

How do you measure whether a campaign worked?

We measure against real box office data wherever the venue’s ticketing allows — tracking the lift in ticket sales around each activity, from press hits to flyering to digital bursts. That means we can show what actually moved tickets, rather than reporting coverage and impressions in isolation.
